A brochure needs to convey your professional image. These points have been update from my published article in Ventures.

1. What is the reason for your brochure?

To promote your business: individual counseling; group counseling; wellness programs or speaking engagements

2. Decide on your target market?

a. Individuals, groups or companies

b. Age groups: children, adolescents, adults, elderly

c. Fitness clubs, factory workers, business executives, physicians

d. Sexes: both; male or female

e. Economic bracket: low or high income

3. What should be in your brochure?

a. Their benefits: healthy lifestyle management, sports nutrition, reduction of chronic diseases

b. Your contact information, credentials, experience, logo, photo

Use a font and font size that is easy to read

Bottom line: it should cause action

4. How will you distribute your brochure?

a. Mailing

b. Drop off at physicians offices

c. Include with handouts at presentations

c. Businesses

5. What is the benefit to you?

a. Increased clients

b. Increased visibility

c. Increased revenue

6. your budget will determine:

a. Type and color of paper

b. One color or multiple colors for lettering

Have a consistent visual image - cards, letterheads, envelopes

Although websites have taken over from brochures, they are still necessary to leave at talks and physician's offices.
